About Our Club
The Vaughan Panthers Basketball Club is a REP basketball program that is affiliated with the Ontario Basketball Association (O.B.A.). Players at the Rep level must demonstrate exceptional skill, athleticism and strong commitment to the game of basketball.
The Players are selected through a series of open tryouts in early fall. (Please monitor this site for dates and location.) The Vaughan Panthers Basketball Club season runs from October to April. Teams will also play other O.B.A affiliated clubs and play in a minimum of 3-5 tournaments including the Provincial Championships.
Practices are held 2-3 times per week. Our coaches are committed to promoting team basketball while identifying drills, exercises, and techniques to help improve each player’s competitive ability.
Some of the games and tournaments may require travel and parent involvement. The registration fee is assessed to fund most of the tournaments, games uniforms, warm-up jerseys and bag. However, in an effort to off-set travel costs and additional expenses (additional tournaments, jackets, etc.), we encourage parents to participate in Vaughan Panthers Basketball Club’s approved fundraising activities.
Our Vaughan Panthers have proven to be a competitive and respected club amongst other OBA teams.
